He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Torkelson and Rhoda Torkelson; and his son-in-law Derek Sway. He is survived by: his wife Anita Torkelson; his brothers, Stuart Torkelson of Ada, MN and Bruce Torkelson (Debbie Linder); his stepsons, Joe Mitchell (Whitney) of Helena, MT and Jeremiah Mitchell (Jenny Ray); his grandchildren, Archer, Monte, Cora and Noah; his nieces and nephews, Michael Torkelson, Amanda Torkelson, Christopher Hornbeak, Amanda Hornbeak and Daniel Hornbeak; his granddaughter Tessa; and his uncle Floyd.
