She was predeceased by: her sibling Valley Leagues; her parents, Harm Cirks and Minnie Cirks; her former husband Marvin Grivno; her husband Bob Starkweather; and her children, Bobby Grivno and Karen E. Sip.

She is survived by: her friend Laverne; her son-in-law Loyal Sip; her grandchildren, Heidi Lyman (Randy), Robert Sip (Amy), Tony Sip (Lorra) and Randall Sip (Marti); and her great grandchildren, Brandon, Grant, Lauren, Olivia, Mitchell, Jacob, Karly, Kaleigh and Jaden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
