He is survived by: his parents, Jake Ekema and Clara Ekema; his wife Bernice; his sons, Gene Ekema of Kalamazoo, Terry Ekema (Nancy) of Zeeland and Paul Ekema (Stephanie) of Tyler, MN; his grandchildren, Chris, Ashley (Cody), Michael, Arthur (Lexi), Miranda, Grace, Maddie and Katie; and his brother Donald Ekema (Kathy) of Auburndale, FL. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
