With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Schermer of Zeeland, Michigan, who passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Schermer and Helen Schermer; her siblings, Robert Schermer, Yvonne Vander Poppen and Marilyn Mehrtens; and her sisters-in-law, Lou Schermer and Nancy Schermer.

She is survived by: her siblings, Ronald Schermer, Ellen, Charles Klynstra and Bruce Schermer; and her brother-in-law Allen Vander Klay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
