He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Jacobs (Jackson) and Howard Jacobs; his stepmother Molly Jacobs; his siblings, Henry Jacobs, Jay Jacobs, Martha Jacobs and Judy Jacobs; his father-in-law Jack Bruischart; and his brothers-in-law, Greg McAlpine, John Hawrylak and John Boersema.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy Jacobs; his sons, Adam Jacobs (Lina) and Andy Jacobs (Amanda); his grandchildren, Gracie Jacobs, Alexis Jacobs, Austin Shumway, Austin Jacobs, Wyatt Jacobs and Emmie Jacobs; his siblings, Nancy Boersema, Jeff Jacobs and Lori Jacobs; his stepsiblings, Pat Van Slooten and Tom Clark (Deb); and his foster brother Randy Johnson (Cindy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
