He was predeceased by: his father John Sr. Myaard; his former wife Shirley Anne Myaard; his son Dale R. Myaard; and his siblings, John Myaard and Pat DeYoung.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Joy Myaard; his grandchildren-in-law, Jason Myaard, Sarah Myaard, Rachel Gates (Ryan) and Eric Myaard (Shelby); his daughter Ginny Lou Hager (Kevin); his grandchildren, Allison Vollink (Tyler), Courtney Grysen (Cole) and Isaiah Hager (Abigail); his daughter Molly Anne Huizinga (Dan); his grandson Daniel; his sister-in-law Iris Myaard; his brother Jerry Myaard (Gloria); and his brother-in-law Robert Walters (Marcia). He is also survived by his 8 great- grandchildren.
