He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Tift and Dessie Tift (Smith); his sister Peggy Hart; his brothers-in-law, Robert Troeger and Dennis Bull; and his niece Deb Sprow.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his daughters, Amber (John Fanthorpe) and Ellen (Kurt Goebel); his grandchildren, Lennox Goebel, Chad (Papillion Snyder), Kimberly Snyder, Christina Snyder, Noah Snyder, Angel Snyder, Aviva Snyder, Liliana Snyder, Charis Snyder, Jackson Snyder, Samuel Fanthorpe, Jacob Fanthorpe and Simon Fanthorpe; his siblings, Jean Tift, Richard, Marcia Tift and Rebecca Troeger; and his in-laws, Dean, Sandie Bull, Anita, Al Denning and Kathy Bull. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.
