He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Rietema and Henrietta Rietema (Christians); his brother Larry Rietema; his parents-in-law, Floyd and Ethel Luiken; and his nephew Brad TerHark.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Rietema (Luiken); his children, Aaron Rietema (April) and Sarah Rietema; his granddaughter Teagan Rietema; his sisters, Jean Brower (Joel) and Marilyn TerHark (Dennis); and his in-laws, Jim and Shiela Luiken. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Haven Christian Reformed Church (541 Alice St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
