He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Haitsma and Alma Van Haitsma; and his parents-in-law, Simon and Joan Essenburg. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his grandchildren, Matthew, Tali Van Haitsma, Marcy and Alex Koch; his siblings, Sherry Shane, Betty Storms (Tim), Scott Van Haitsma (Joni) and Julie Van Haitsma; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Essenburg (Roxanne), Nancy Krol (Joe), Kathy Pols (Bill) and Michelle Nienhuis (Tim). He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
