He was predeceased by: his former wife Lavon "Bonnie". He is survived by: his brother Egg; his children, Dan (Jane Gritter), Doug (Von Gritter), Beth (Jack Zandstra) and David (Marlae Gritter); his grandchildren, Nathan (Kai Gritter), Justin (Jodie Gritter), Eric (Deb Gritter), Rebecca (Steve Kraal), Matt Gritter, Luke (Shelley Gritter), Nicole Meengs, Chris (Alicia Zandstra), Michelle (Ben Rypma), Lindy (Kyle Flannigan) and Joshua (Lara Musser-Gritter); his stepchildren, Bob, Lynnae Bergman (Ross), Kevin and Kari Bergman; his sister Winabelle Gritter; and his sister-in-law Marci Dykstra. He is also survived by 30 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Western Michigan Teen Challenge or Hospice of Holland.
