He is survived by: his children, Diane and David; his grandchildren, Katie Twa, Isabelle Stempfly, Joe Twa, Conner Swindell and Caden Swindell; his wife Joyce Stempfly; his brother Paul; and his siblings-in-law, Herman Hoeve, Martha VanderPloeg, Marion, Evelyn, Gloria and Marjorie Hoeve. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
