She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Jay Barkel; her parents, Harold Bleeker and Etta Bleeker; her brothers, Henry Bleeker and Lawrence Bleeker; and her son-in-law Larry Rynbrandt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Rynbrandt and Bonnie Haydon (Rickey); her grandchildren, Nicholas Harmsen and Olivia Harmsen-Dangler; her great grandchild Philly Grace Harmsen; and her sister Nellie Brower. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
