It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Kortering of Zeeland, Michigan, who passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandson Alexander Gabier (Alec); her parents, John Broekhuis and Jennie Broekhuis; her siblings, Alvin Broekhuis, Christal Broekhuis and Grada; and her siblings-in-law, Henry Voetberg, Leona and Laverne Kortering.
She is survived by: her husband Ernest Kortering (Ernie); her children, Randy (Sue Kortering), Larry (Pat Kortering), Lisa (Jeff Gabier) and Richelle (Jon Hofman); her grandchildren, Stephanie, Carl Bussema, Matt, Christina Kortering, Katie, Adam Hukkala, Taylor Hofman and Brianna Hofman; and her great grandchild Esther Kortering.
