He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alvin Bareman, Elizabeth Bareman and Marjorie Guikema. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Steven Bareman (Tamara VandenBerg), Scott Bareman (Kate) and Shelly Blystra (Robert); his stepchildren, Richard Lampen (Lori) and Amy Kietzmann (Chip); his grandchildren, Sam Cliffman, Symone Fountian (Alex), Dennis "Bud" Cliffman, Kaylynn Lampen, John Kietzmann and Samuel Kietzmann; his siblings, Egbert Bareman and Lorrianne Eding (Larry); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Bareman.
