He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Rene Garza, Esteban Garza (Laura), Roxana Gracia (Francisco) and Rolando Garza (Anna); his grandchildren, Abigail Robitaille (Andrew), Rolando Garza Jr., Aaron Garza, Raven Garza, Taylor Garza and Sierra Rodriguez; his great grandchild Evelyn Robitaille; and his siblings, Noe Garza (Sylvia) and Yolanda Cantu (Juan). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation in memory of Lupe.
