He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shirley Berens, Ronald Holstege and Arlyn Holstege. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Kurt, Amy Holstege, Greg, Reneé Holstege, Mandi and Jerry Alkema; his grandchildren, Minae, Doug Kroeze, Sydney, Brady Zomer, Christian, Tasha Holstege, Kennedy Holstege, Jack, Ellery and Myah Alkema; his great grandchildren, Bryce Zomer, Eva Kroeze and Dax Kroeze; his siblings, Ed (Winn Holstege), Jerry (Hilda Holstege), Alvin (Glenda Holstege) and Judie Holstege; his siblings-in-law, Jim, Karen Wedeven, Randy, Constance Wedeven, Del, Casey Wedeven, Pam and Dennis Driesenga; and his close friends, Bruce and Lois Volkers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland or Rusk CRC.
