With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald J. Batka of Zeeland, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 9, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Batka and Anne Batka (Tartol); his brother James "Jim" Batka; and his brother-in-law Phillip Brockington. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Brockington; his children, Elizabeth Futch (Scott) of Reno, NV and Gregory Batka of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Nicole (Connor), Zachary Futch and Gabriel Batka; his siblings, Julie Poulin (Bill), Steve Batka (DeDe) and John Batka (Janice); and his sisters-in-law, Joan Banko (Richard) and Judy Brockington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
