He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Christopher Welch, Maria Messner and Barbara Messner; his stepdaughter Amy Walter; and his brother Donald (Kim Welch). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
