She was predeceased by: her husband James Boersen; and her son Robert Boersen. She is survived by: her children, Don, Marcia, Beverly and Nancy; her sisters, Margaret Niemeyer and Alma VanderVeen; and her sisters-in-law, Arlene and Laura Boersen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be given in Edith's honor to National Federation of the Blind or Cure Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Cure SMA).
