Betty Wiersma Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2024, at the age of 86, Betty Wiersma of Zeeland, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Omen and Geneva Van Omen (Bouws); her husband Bob Wiersma; her son-in-law Mark Bruursema; her grandson Curtis Bruursema; her great grandchild Sawyer Bruursema; her brother Roger Van Omen; and her in-laws, Allen Malmquist, Dale Thompson, Mary and Gord Genzink.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Jr. (Jan Wiersma), Dawn (Art Renkema), Sue (Dave Bos) and Doug (Paige Wiersma); her grandchildren, Corey, Emily Bruursema, Jordan, Danielle Bruursema, Ben, Racquel Renkema, Jon Renkema, Daniel Renkema, Jenna, Josh Fiekema, Andrew Thorsby, Elizabeth, Kelly Trom, Tyler Bos, Andrea Bos, Seth Wiersma, Grace Wiersma and Joy Wiersma; her sister Ruth (Terry Terpsma); and her in-laws, Roger, Dorinda Wiersma, Beverly Thompson and Sharon Malmquist.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
