It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Viola Stygstra of Zeeland, Michigan, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Stygstra; her daughter Sandra DeBoer; her siblings, Ken "Tom" Van Rhee, Glenn Van Rhee and Geneva Talsma; and her siblings-in-law, Gertrude Van Rhee and Peter Elzinga.
She is survived by: her children, Claudia Bos (Edward) and Ron Stygstra (Donna); her grandchildren, Ryan De Boer (Kim), Becky Heyboer, Tracie Piersma (Matt), Todd De Boer (Erin), Mitch Bos (Kellie), Lance Bos (Michelle), Nicholas Stygstra and Joshua Stygstra; her sisters, Marilyn Elzinga and Sherry Diepenhorst (Harold); and her brother-in-law Terry Stygstra. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
