He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Himes and Mabel Himes (Page); his son Tom Himes; and his siblings, Eileen Scripter, Delores Elliott and Robert Himes.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Reynolds; his son James Himes (Julie); and his grandsons, James of Ypsilanti, Jason of Ypsilanti and Jack Himes of Ypsilanti. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
