It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Prevedel of Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rizziri Prevedel and Florence Prevedel (Schlacht); his siblings, Geraldine Tillman, Ron Prevedel and Evelyn Craig (Doug); and his great grandchild Sawyer Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Prevedel; his children, Michelle Ridall (Pete) and Michael Prevedel; his grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell (Duke), Nicholas Hays, Brendan Prevedel and Reese Prevedel; and his brother Ray Prevedel (Nidia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Carpenter Road Chapel (2400 Carpenter Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
