It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Frances Shell (Ypsilanti, Michigan), born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Charley and Mary Robinson (Watkins); her spouse Claude Shell, Jr.; and her brother Charley Robinson Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Barbara McClure (Don), Louise Gruppen (Larry), James Shell (Elizabeth Deichmann) and Bill Shell (Chris); her grandchildren, Christopher Hooker (Sarah), Bethany Eyrich (Jeff), Tim Gruppen (Maria), Matthew Gruppen, Jack Shell (Catherine Owen), Jason Shell, Ryan Shell (Ilana Israel), Susan Shell and Benjamin Shell; her great grandchildren, Eli Hooker, Madison Eyrich and Adam Eyrich; and her sisters, Evelyn Jones, Anne Robinson and Janie Besharse (Joe).
Attendees will be asked to wear masks.
Contributions in her memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti, Hope Clinic in Ypsilanti, or Matthaei Botanical Gardens.
