She was predeceased by: her father Motherdear; her husband Harold George Martin of Ypsilanti, MI; her nephew Willie Prince Sr. (Verlee) of Ypsilanti, MI; her sister Beatrice Prince (Sport) of Tuscaloosa, AL; her granddaughter Gloria Jean Bester of Ann Arbor, MI; and her mother Lugene Gladney.
She is survived by: her daughter Bessie Mae Cook (Bester) of Ypsilanti, Michigan.; her granddaughter Patricia Lewis (Michael); her great grandchildren, Jermaine Bester (Heather), Demetrius Lewis, Kawanza Newman Sr., Patricia Bester III (Sunday), Tiffanie Newman and Tempest Portier; and her great great grandchildren, Jacodi Bester, Jovani Bester, Kawanza Newman Jr., Quintin Alexander, Kasidee Bester and Kameryn Newman-White. She is also survived by her family and friends.
