He was predeceased by: his parents, Librado Castro and Petra Castro; his daughter Herlinda Castro; his siblings, Herlinda Hudson, Joaquina Garibay and Edwardo Castro; and his great grandchild Jacqueline Sanchez.
He is survived by: his wife Genoveva Castro; his daughter Mary Perez (Armando); his grandchildren, Christina, April, Miguel and Veronica; and his siblings, Maria Conception Gutierrez, Elvira Treviño and Claudio Castro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (121 N Duval St, Mathis, TX 78368). A rosary will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery (9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410).
