He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gregory Edwin and Marie Rose Berens (Adams); his wife Patricia Melkvik; his children, Bradley Berens, Wade Berens and Susan LeGrand Brown; his stepchildren, Jennifer Thibeault, Sarah Millard and Jason Melkvik; and his brothers, Austin Berens and Chris Berens. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren.
