It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Franklin Rister of Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estaleen Rister and Frank Rister Jr.; and his sister Judy Mierzwa. He is survived by: his wife Barb Rister; his siblings, Sue Cantrell (Benny) of Ypsilanti, Debbie Forgacs (Peter) of Britton, Jane Parish (Russ) of Tecumseh, Bonnie Niceley (Bud) of Holt, Subrenna Kopriva (Ray) of Willis and Johnnie Rister (Melissa); his brother-in-law Mark Mierzwa of Manchester; and his pet Jasper.
