She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Anderson and Margaret Anderson (Smith); and her husband Vernon Leighton. She is survived by: her children, Diane Yoder (Jere) of Ypsilanti and Thomas Leighton (Trish) of Ypsilanti; and her sister Trudy Lay of Ypsilanti. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
