The memory of Ellen Defour of Ypsilanti, Michigan, born in Wayne, Michigan, who passed away on July 1, 2024 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Wilkinson and Margaret Wilkinson (McAdams); and her brother Tom Wilkinson. She is survived by: her husband Carl Defour of Ypsilanti, MI; her children, Michael Baldwin, Jr. (Julia) of San Diego, CA and Kimberlee Shaffer (Michael) of Milan, MI; her siblings, Phyllis McClelland (James), Jeannie Sala (Elliott) and Bryan Wilkinson; her grandchildren, Scott Baldwin (Shannon), Brittany Baldwin, Jacob Shaffer (Hannah), Ashlee Shaffer and Amber Shaffer; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Benjamin Shaffer, Landon, Noah, Jayce and McKinley Baldwin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to Arbor Hospice or The Alzheimer's Foundation in Ellen's name would be appreciated.

“Ellen was a great woman and the neighborhood is saddened at her passing. Ellen and Carl are both wonderful people - kind, generous, thoughtful - you could not ask for better neighbors. Ellen made special treat bags for our children at Halloween, baked a delightful variety of delicious cookies every Christmas, and many, many other marvellous act of kindnes. We are grateful that God allowed us the opportunity to know wonderful Ellen and we will never forget her. Thank you Ellen - for everything!”
