He was predeceased by: his daughter Linda Stephens; his brother Jimmie Stephens; and his granddaughter Chlon Borden. He is survived by: his wife Frances Stephens (Smith); his children, Bobby Henderson, Cathy Kendrick, Arthur Henderson, Eddie Lee Stephens Jr. (Deamaire), Sheila Charlton and Caryn Wilcher; his grandchildren, Patrick Kendrick, Ebony Real, Danielle Kendrick, Ryan Stephens (Rebecca), Shannon Kendrick, Jasmine Stephens, Aaron Stephens (Sharzay), Nicholas Stephens, Tianna Mobley, Kyle Wilcher, Taryn Wilcher and Treyvon Wilcher; his great grandchildren, Cameron Herrod, Lailah Kendrick, Kennedy Real of Anizhae Borden, A. J, Immanuel Stephens, Amari Stephens, Ziare Gunn, Akiyah Wilcher and Arianna Seta; and his sisters-in-law, Mattie Stephens and Victoria Gilbert. He is also survived by nephews and cousins.
