He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCoy and Leza McCoy (Hayes); his wife Elsa I. McCoy; and his siblings, Arange McCoy, Cash McCoy, Easter Sanders McCoy, Reverend Ward McCoy, Willard McCoy and Kermit McCoy.
He is survived by: his children, Kirby A. McCoy and Rhonda G. Vanover McCoy (Randall Vanover); and his sister Stella Miller McCoy. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
