He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred E. Griffin and Margery M. Griffin (Williams); and his brother Glen Griffin Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn L. Griffin (Lucado); his son Michael Griffin of Ypsilanti; and his brothers, Ted Griffin (Linda) and Gene Griffin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Michigan Firehouse Museum or the Ypsilanti Historical Society.
