He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Atkins (Joan Murray) and Jean B. Palmer; his stepfather Fred Palmer Jr.; and his brother Eric Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Marion Elizabeth Wanzo-Atkins; his sister Kathleen Atkins-Wilson (Ernest Wilson); and his nephews, Evan Wilson and Everett Wilson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
