She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Herman Zagel and Irmgard Zagel; and her brother Bruce Zagel (Vernay). She is survived by: her siblings, Marjorie Murken (Robert), Carla Winter (Frank) and Joel Zagel (Connie); her husband John; her children, Carla Hudgens, John Sproul (Linda), David Sproul (Dawn) and Jill Merlo; her grandchildren, Kristen McKenzie (Jason), William Hudgens (Jorden), Jack Merlo (Mariah), Daniel Rein (Hannah), Alison Rein, Katie Dissmore (Roger) and Jetta Smithwick (Zach); and her great grandchild Henry McKenzie.
