He was predeceased by: his parents, Joy Adkins (Greer) and Sid Adkins; and his siblings, Charles, Jimmy, Larry, Cletus, Sidney, Kenny, Wayne and Glenda.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his pet Simba; his children, Donnie Dwayne Adkins (Colleen) of Pinckney, MI, Cindy Paschal (Jim) of Sandy, UT and Sheryl Wilson (Randy) of Brighton, MI; his grandchildren, Lauren (Amber), Nick (Natalie), Jacki (Andrew), Lindsay (Bobby) and Ally (Jae); his great grandchild Nick, Jr.; and his siblings, Ruby, Linda, Samantha, Nina, Leon and Doug.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Bible Baptist Church.
