It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Derrick L. Kirby of Ypsilanti, Michigan, born in Highland Park, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 73, on October 30, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Kirby and Fred Viers; his brothers, Scot and Craig Viers (Ann); his grandson Andrew Mareno; and his brother-in-law Roger Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Kirby of Sumpter Township, MI and Shelly Mareno (Steve) of Saline, MI; his grandchildren, Kyle, Claire Kirby and Matthew Mareno; his sister-in-law Katie Thompson of Belleville, MI; and his niece Amber Stetler (Jeremy) of Britton, MI. He is also survived by other numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the David C Brown Funeral Home (460 E Huron River Dr, Belleville, MI 48111). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Community Church (894 E Huron River Dr, Belleville, MI 48111).
