David L. Harris Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David L. Harris (Ypsilanti, Michigan), born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, David shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid David farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Murdock Harris and Zenoby Harris (Weathers); his wife Mary Jo Harris (Smith); and his siblings, Verna Deen Vinson, Joan Elaine Odom, Therlon Gene Harris and Harold Eugene Harris.
He is survived by: his daughter Latanya Harris; his siblings, Francine Jefferson and Ladel Kenon Harris; and his close friends, Jacobe Phelps and Johnnie Johnson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, other family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the C & H Community Home For Funerals Lucille's Memorial Chapel (411 S Adams St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
