She is survived by: her husband Steve Newlon; her children, Kristin Horchem (Dave) and Erick Moberg (Jessie); her grandchildren, Allie, Ava, Kennedy and Noah; her brother Jimmie Hopkins, Jr. (Lynn); her nephew Justin Hopkins (Taylor); her great-nephew Abel; and her niece Lauren Hopkins.

Donations may be made in Connie's name to Emmanuel Lutheran Church to further the positive impact that she made on her local community.
