He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Ward and Alice Ward (Thomas); and his siblings, Twila Ward, Johnny Ward, Hobart "Buddy" Ward Jr., Ray Ward and Louise Killian.

He is survived by: his siblings, Melvin Ward (Barbara), Maggie Taylor (Mike), Clayton Ward (Cathy), Christine Howard (Bradley), Jackie Ward and Twina Meadows (Arthur). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
