He was predeceased by: his mothers, Hazel Rhodes and Juanita Rhodes (Mounts); his son Jeffrey Rhodes; his son-in-law Amos Snyder; his grandsons, Jason Sizemore and Jessie Sizemore; his brothers, James Rhodes (Audrey), Cecil Rhodes (Joyce) and Russell Rhodes; and his brother-in-law Bob Alexander.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn "Jody" Rhodes; his children, Becky Sizemore (Kermit), Lisa Snyder and Michael Rhodes (Karrie); his grandchildren, Shane Rhodes, Adam Rhodes, Travis Krakowski, Jacob Rhodes, Justin Krakowski, Cody Rhodes, Kacie Robbins, Blaine Snyder, Kyleigh Rhodes, Ty Rhodes and Faith Rhodes; his sisters, Jean Alexander and Ina Rhodes; and his sister-in-law Betty Rhodes. He is also survived by his 14 great-grandchildren.
