He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Thomason and Silas Moncrief Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Flora Mae "Nancy" Enoch; his daughters, Michelle Moncrief and Ashley Thompson (Cilranus); his grandchildren, Emmanuel and Emerie Thompson; and his siblings, Louis Moncrief (Marilyn), Timothy Thomason, Eliza Lee Scott, Patsy Mae Stallworth, Elona Louise Thomason and James G. Moncrief. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
