She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gerhardt and Clara Gerhardt (Loufer); and her grandson Nicholas Jarvie. She is survived by: her husband Chester Szymczak; her children, Michael Szymczak, Margaret Jarvie (Alan), Mary Joan Truetken (John), Marty Szymczak (Susan) and Mark Szymczak (Michelle); her grandchildren, Todd Szymczak, Adam Szymczak (Gina), Emily Smock (Steve), Michelle Jarvie, Hannah, Luke, Sarah Truetken, Jordan Bentley (Cherry), Allison Bentley, Matthew and Megan Szymczak; her great grandchildren, Parker, Owen Szymczak, Hunter, Lucas, Greyson, Violet Smock and Pearl Bentley; her siblings, Catherine Haranda, Clara Carva, Anna Boike, Elizabeth Halloran, Mary Wilkins and Bernard Gerhardt; and her sisters-in-law, Irene Sobieray and Cecelia Zuraw. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
