He was predeceased by: his father Hellmut. He is survived by: his mother Maria Schmid; and his siblings, Darlene Spanjer, Dorothy Doyle (Drayson), Fred Schmid (Karlene), John Schmid (Pam) and David Schmid. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
