He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Smeenk and Irene Smeenk; and his sisters, Leyla Gandiello and Rachel Smeenk. He is survived by: his wife Starletta; his grandchildren, Rachel, Micah Lettinga (Christian), Rebecca Smeenk, Matthew and Kimberly Smeenk; and his sister Nyla (Rob Velting). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
