He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sr. Schmidt and Eleanor Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his sons, Christopher (Sonya) and Dan (Maureen); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Lindsey, Courtney, Alicia, Daniel and Jessica; and his siblings, Donna Gerhard (Steve), Karl Schmidt (Janet), Stephen Schmidt (Judy), Jaqueline Scanlan (Jeff), Tracy Thomas (Mark) and Eleanor Maloney (Tevis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
