He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Boom and Thelma Boom; his sister Patsy Stratton; his parents-in-law, Herman and Virginia Vonk; and his brother-in-law Wayne Vonk.
He is survived by: his brother John E. Boom; his son John R. Boom; his wife JoAnn Boom (Vonk); his daughter-in-law Louise Boom; his children, Bob Boom, Maryjo Telder, Dori and Matt Keller; his grandchildren, Tom, Mandy Boom, Jodi, Larry Smith, Brian, Brittany Boom, Madison, Connor, Hoff, Lily, Evan, Adalynn and Peterson Keller; his great grandchildren, Arden, Kamaria, Zeke, Judah, Brinley, Braxton and Callahan; his friend John E. (Pat); his brother-in-law Lloyd Vonk (Mary); and his sister Joan Faught.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Throop Funeral Home (214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Coopersville Reformed Church (423 W Randall St, Coopersville, MI 49404).
