He was predeceased by: his parents, Casimir Mieczkowski and Arlene Mieczkowski of Spring Lake; the mother of his children Nancy Wallish; and his siblings, Sally Mieczkowski and Jim Mieczkowski.

He is survived by: his wife Janet; and his siblings, Mike Mieczkowski (Marianne), Ruth Gravelyn (Barb) and Robin Sluis (Steve).
