He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Shoup and Ruth Shoup; his brothers, Carl Shoup Jr., Jack Shoup and Jim Shoup Sr.; his sisters-in-law, Leona Shoup, Viola Shoup and Joyce Shoup; and his child Baby Boy Shoup.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Shoup; his children, John Shoup (Karen), Rebecca "Becky" Pershon (John) and Michael Shoup; his grandchildren, Brad, Christopher, Tabitha and Cassandra; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Maximus, Marcus and Mathias. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
