He is survived by: his children, Nancie Owen (Wayne), Ernest Hastings Jr. (Mary), Joseph Hastings (Peggy), Colleen Welsh (Kevin), Cathie Jo Hastings and Lorie Hastings; and his sister Violet McNinch. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
